tralala hopsasa (2020)

The idea for the series was a physical and theatrical intervention in a public space. The circumstances of social and spatial limitations during this surprisingly unusual springtime namely led me to an act of liberation through the play in public outdoor space. I started with the preparation for a game, named hopscotch.
I failed to actually start playing hopscotch because I was attracted by entering from the urban to the natural space where cultural constructs didn't apply anymore. For a few moments, I indulge in a swirl of freedom in nature, but shortly after I came down off my high horse as I was hooked by the known scene.
Consequently, the series is characterised by a sense of inability to escape the reality we have created, spinning in circles and touch of melancholy.
