hold my hand: chapter II (2026, Slovenia): In the present moment it is clear that Mom and Dad are not together anymore. Dad has been absent for a long while. Nostalgia from the family past now becomes a backdrop to the introduction of a new chapter. At the center of the room stands a structure with swings that becomes a stage for a public program through which the family story continues to unfold. Mom opens up to the idea of finding herself a new partner, while the art collective opens itself up to the idea of finding new forms of collaboration, care and chosen kinship through the series of performative dating encounters.Through storytelling and improvisation via text, objects, photography and events, our collective once again blurs the boundary between fiction and reality, inviting visitors to reflect on how families are formed, transformed and sometimes reimagined.
